High Wear Resistance Dredge Hose Project in Southeast Asia

In 2025, Hongruntong Marine collaborated with a leading dredging contractor in Southeast Asia for a large-scale land reclamation project. The customer was facing critical challenges including severe wear of existing hoses, frequent shutdowns for maintenance, and high operational costs caused by short service life. The project required highly durable hoses capable of conveying high-concentration sand, slurry and gravel under strong water flow conditions.

After detailed communication and on-site investigation, our technical team determined the key parameters: large diameter 800mm floating dredge hoses, working pressure 1.6MPa, and a special anti-wear rubber formula. To ensure long-term reliability under harsh seawater environments, we specified a thickened inner rubber layer combined with multi-layer steel wire winding reinforcement. This structure effectively resist scouring, impact and frequent bending, significantly extending service life compared with conventional rubber hoses.

The customer received the hoses in Q2 2025 and completed installation within three weeks. During continuous operation, our dredge hoses maintained stable conveying performance with almost no visible wear. Maintenance records showed that the replacement frequency was reduced by more than 60%, and the overall downtime was cut by nearly half. The project team praised the product’s strong anti-abrasion performance and excellent adaptability to local sea conditions.

This successful project has established Hongruntong Marine as a trusted supplier in Southeast Asia, with multiple follow-up orders from port construction companies and dredging operators in the region.
